A Louis Vuitton Monogram Vertical Combination Lock Hard Briefcase, Circa 1980s
 
Crafted from classic monogram canvas this Vintage Louis Vuitton Briefcase features gold tone hardware and combination lock, a rolled leather top handle, detachable leather luggage tag and protective studs to the base. The briefcase opens to a leatherette interior with one gusseted large pocket with adjustable belt, two smaller patch pockets, a pen holder and an ID holder.
 
The briefcases date code has rubbed due to its age however it can be vaguely made out as ‘831’
The briefcase is secured with a 2011 W.Germany FRANZEN lock and the unlocking combination for this briefcase is set at ‘934’

Overall the briefcase is in very good condition, given its vintage nature. The exterior canvas remains in very good condition with no real obvious marks or signs of damage. The gold tone hardware shows faint scratches and there is some verdigris around the top handle. The leather rolled handle and luggage tag both show darkening. The interior is clean with light signs of dust and faint scratches.
